Saturday's Farmer's Market
https://www.evergreen.ca/whats-on/event/order-from-our-vendors/ Open 8:00am to 1:00pm Talis Booth#: 43 As Evergreen works towards the safe gradual reopening of Evergreen Brick Works, the modified outdoor Saturday Farmers Market is now operating to bring local and in-season food to your dinner plate, in a new and safe way. Starting June 13, we are so excited to welcome you back bright and early! The goal of the Saturday Farmers Market remains the same - to work with our community and help people make healthier food choices. Same day purchases are welcome, but we strongly encourage online ordering so the experience is quicker for you and our farmers. We are adopting a range of measures to ensure that we can make access to local food a safe end enjoyable experience. In doing so, we hope to demonstrate how resilient local food systems can continue to play an integral role in the food models of cities. Read our market guidelines so you’re ready for market day. Market Guidelines: Please be patient. In accordance with physical distancing guidelines, vendors will be positioned 2 metres apart and there will be a maximum of 50 visitors allowed in the market at once. This means potential wait times to keep us safer! Pick your shoppers. Individual groups of a maximum size of 2 are permitted in the market space. Other members of your group can wait for you outside the market. Service animals only. Dogs are not permitted this season. We love our furry friends but they aren’t good at physical distancing! Mask up. Masks are mandatory, please bring your own or purchase one outside of the market before entering. Keep things clean. Remember to sanitize your hands when you enter the market space. Our vendors and market staff are sanitizing regularly to keep the space disinfected. Get ready to shop. Have your proof of purchase for any pre-ordered items ready. Keep your distance. Always maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from other shoppers and staff. That’s the equivalent of 3 snapping turtles! Follow the arrows. We have a one-way system to avoid any crowding. Look at the arrows on the ground to help you along the way. Hands to yourself. Vendors will put together all the items you wish to purchase, so there is no need for you to touch produce or goods unless purchasing. Shop speedy. Please try to keep your shopping time to no more than 20 minutes. This helps us to connect others to great local food, and minimize risk of transmission.
